Puducherry also known as Pondicherry is a union territory of India and lies in the southern part of the Indian Peninsula. Consisting of four small geographically unconnected districts namely, Pududcherry, Karaikal, Yanam and Mahe.Puducherry is renowned for its multicultural heritage, influenced by both its indigenous traditions and its history as a former French colony.With its serene beaches, colonial architecture, and spiritual retreats, Puducherry attracts a significant number of tourists. It is the third most densely populated union territory with the population 1,394,467 as per the 2011 Census.
